Just wanted to let you all know about this.....

"I have some really exciting news. The great banjoist Tony Trischka is coming to town sun April 24-weds 27th to record on the new Love Canon record and do some workshops, lessons and a few performances.

Right now the plan/schedule is this:

Sun April 24th — 7:00 House Concert in Palmyra

Mon 25th — record with love canon in am

then available for private lessons at my house late afternoon through evening

Tues 26th — 10-4 available for private lessons at my house

5:00-6:30 workshop at Front Porch music school

7:00 Concert at Front Porch

Weds 27th — available for lessons 9-12

I will send more details as the plan firms up (this kinda came up last minute).

Tony’s rate for private lessons is $80 an hour or $50 for a half hour

If you, or anyone you know is interested in a lesson with tony, please email me soon as I expect the slots to fill up soon.

Please share this with your fellow banjo and bluegrass enthusiasts as well as students so we can get some people out to these shows. I’d like to have Charlottesville be a regular stop for Tony and hope we can make him feel appropriately welcome and supported. This is a fantastic opportunity and I hope you all can at least get a chance to see a show if not meet him in person.
