The pawn shop down the road from me has a banjo marked S.S. Stewart. It has no serial numbers and has a brass wrapped rim. I have only seen silver wrapped on Stewart banjos and I am suspicious of this for obvious reasons. I would like to know if anyone has any info that can help me out. It needs a good bit of work and there are some obviously "non original" components, so i am hoping to pick it up cheap.

	joe28675 says: 7/7/2016 7:18:07 PM Some of the lower grade Stewarts had nickel plated brass spun rims. When some of the plating wears off and the brass is showing in spots, the rest of the nickel plating is often buffed off.
