Hello! I have an early 90's Stewart Macdonald parts banjo that I bought from the owner of a music store in Helena MT, Piccolo's, who had assembled it himself, played it for a bit, and then sold it to me. It has a rosewood fingerboard, mahogany laminate resonator, abalone dots, and Five Star Planet tuners with plastic buttons. The banjo weighs 11 pounds - I am not sure what the tone ring is. I am a long time guitar player, but not so familiar with banjo values these days. It comes with a hard case. Thank you so much anyone who can offer suggestions on a selling price. 	n1wr says: 8/1/2015 11:45:44 AM Zoe: I don't know if this helps, but the Eagle was the high end banjo for Stew Mac. It was a kit banjo. You can see the one one the right - it was for sale for $600 which is about right priced. I don't think yours is an Eagle, but one of the lesser priced kits, so I would guess your looking at $400 to $500. The Stew Macs are solid banjos, but are tarnished by their 'kit' legacy. Its a great banjo to learn on.

	n1wr says: 8/1/2015 2:04:53 PM It's amazing how the cost of the parts has gone up. I think I paid about $350 for the Diamond Eagle kit back in the mid 80's. Zoe - what you have is what we call a beater banjo - one you can take to festivals etc and not worry about it getting nicked or banged up, and yet it sounds good and is pleasant to play. The only complaint I have about my Stew Mack is that the neck is a bit heavy (thick).
