Hello all,
I seek information on head skins for a akonting that I am planning. What type of material and where can I find a good supplier? I hear that there is little difference between calf and goat and should just go with whatever is easier to obtain. Once obtained, where can I find information on how to stretch it over the gourd that I already have in my possession and tack into place? Finally, do any know of how to attach strings to the neck and how to tune them afterwards? Getting information about akonting making has not been as easy as I first assumed.
Thanks in advance for any input that you may submit.
