How to contribute

Join us!

What are you practicing today?  What made you happy?  What's giving you grief?  We want to know.

Don't be intimidated by anyone else's journey.  You're on your own journey, not someone else's, and we want to share that journey with you.  Where are you at today?

How to create a practice blog entry

Go to your blog: Click on your "avatar", the little square picture next to your name in the corner.  Then click the "blog" tab.

Now click on "Add new entry".

Type a title, e.g. "Speed practice", or "Boil Dem Cabbage Down," or "Stupid boring exercises", or whatever describes your practice today.

Select a category: Some of use the "Lessons" category, some use "Stories," some use "Other."  It's not terribly important which category.

Write words!

Click on "Add Entry"

Link your new blog entry to the practice group

To link your blog entry to the practice group, click on the little rectangular green button by the title that says "Link to Group."  Select the little checkbox square by "Practice Group" and then click on "Save Changes"

Thanks!

Thanks for being a member of the practice group.  It's fun and inspiring to read what other learners are doing.

I think @WayneConrad has really outlined so well what the blogging on the BanjoHangout (BHO). I would also suggest posting about what songs are speaking to you today, and who you are listening to - it is a very important part of practising (from my point of view) to talk about how they make you feel, what they mean to you, how they inspire you to play or want to play etc. It is just a suggestion how you write your only blog, is how you are writing your particular blog, and that is just fine.

Played for about an hour and some time on the guitar which I have been ignoring lately. I am trying to decide what todo for the novice entry. Thinking something I can sing to.
