Why is it that as soon as I press record on my phone my fingers seem to stop thinking and I mess up totally? So I have been trying to record some tunes but I want to post something I am happy with. They are all works in progress and obviously I am a beginner.. but How do I get the videos off my phone and on here. How do I change them to MP3 format so this site will accept them.

	Banjojono says: 12/21/2017 12:54:27 AM Your not alone. I can be playing good and soon as I record I mess up. It's because part of your brain is thinking about recording and it interrupts your concentration. Videos, if you upload to YouTube then add the link to your post. Not sure about mp3 uploads as I've not done that yet but other's will be able to help you on that I am sure.
	StuartJohn says: 12/21/2017 5:59:44 AM Judith, You'll need to download a free file convertor to change you wav sound files to MP3. The programme should create a new MP3 file you can use to upload to BHO. There are plenty available on the web for download.
	hoodoo says: 12/21/2017 7:51:54 AM I think its pretty common to get the "recording jitters". I screw up a lot when I press the record button. I started hiding my phone (which I use to record) under a book or something so that I'll forget its there. It seems to work.

Does anyone know a good way to use an external mic (which I have) when recording onto windows 10? It turns out, the software included in windows 10 for making videos doesn't let you use an external mic.

I'd consider asking that question in the forum, where more people will see it. Welcome to the practice group! I hope we'll be hearing more from you, whether it's audio or written words.
	Banjojono says: 12/24/2017 12:01:53 PM I would ditch the win 10 recorder and try other software. I never use Windows built in recorders as they are not the best. In fact I ditched win 10 and went back to 7 as I found it faster and better. However, recently I've just used my phone ipad to record.
