In the last BHO newsletter there was an offer from Josh Turknett for a free beginner crash course on two finger thumb lead style. I also saw that Matt Brown has put up free lessons on a website. I'm going to give this style of picking a try starting today. It looks to be very interesting and possibly open up new sources of music. Keep picking.

	pickn5 says: 4/22/2020 5:55:38 AM @WayneConrad I'm starting with Matt Brown's lessons working on the picking patterns, G scale, and the first tune Groundhog. I'm used to using the thumb on the second string from some 3 finger tunes, but, my middle finger just wants to hit the first string every now and then instead of the index finger.
	pickn5 says: 4/25/2020 5:25:34 AM I've switched to Josh Turknett's lessons as they incorporate ear training to pick out the melody notes. That is a weak point for me, but, not as difficult as I thought it would be. I'm working on step 1 now and was able to play/practice the phrase learned along with his beat track at 75 BPM. I think a few more days of this practice and I'll be able to move on to step 2. Keep picking.
