Just a data point. I'm not getting as many students as I typically do this time of year. Is it because fo the economy?

Have any of you noticed a decline in new banjo students?

Maybe my reputation is catching up wiht me :)

	banjo5don says: 10/7/2011 10:41:54 AM I've only got one now. My teaching has always been part-time, but thru the years I've managed to keep 3-4 students at most times. Must be "economy". Hopefully the "economy" will change November 2012!

	Banjophobic says: 10/20/2011 9:14:13 PM I manage to keep at least 5 most of the year, with winter and early spring being the peak times. For my schedule, I try to limit my student base to 10-12 students. There's always the expected drop off for summer as folks want to take a break and get out to jam and pick at festivals. Then you have to normal cycle of the folks who start lessons but will quit. I think is any of us manage to keep 10-15 at any one time, thats average. Im figuring most of us dont have the time to have more than that anyway, and still be able to gig and keep our sanity,LOL. For me, playing about 50-100 gigs a year with 4-5 bands and trying to run a Luthier business is enough..haha
