Anyone here ever undertake such a task? I going to get a 3' 24" .500 wall high alloy crop end from work, and line it with K13( I think it's called K13) Fire brick, My goal is two fold, One is for a source of forging heat for hand welding Damascus steel for my knife making hobby, the other intenion is a better way to melt bronze alloy for casting some tone rings.
I have the basic idea of how to make this Furnace, but if any of you have experience in this area, Id be glad to listen to voice of experience.
