Hi everyone, thanks for letting me in the group. My name is Mike and I am 37 from a small village just south of Bristol. I've been playing 5 string Scruggs style bluegrass banjo for about 18 months and am hoping to pickup tips and learn more from people on the hangout. If any one is around this area and wants to meet up for a "basic" jam to help me practice and learn more let me know. Thanks for now.

	birdmanUK says: 2/25/2017 2:19:36 AM Hi Mike, you're fortunate to live close to a really good monthly jam suitable for beginners and intermediates like yourself. I used to live in the area and attended it and I would strongly recommend it. Details are: The next bluegrass session at the Bridge Inn, Bridge Road, Shortwood, Bristol BS16 9NG is on Tuesday February 21st from 8pm. Sorry that's now out of date but I'll post the next details when they are available. It's a very friendly jam.

I have been playing for a few years now and collected several premium quality banjos! To feed my obsession I now have a Vega (Deering) 12” Old Thyme Wonder for sale. I bought to attempt claw- hammer … not for me Beautiful banjo, about 2 years old in pristine condition with Deering hard case. £1095. ( currently £1649 new). Also, if there is any other 5 string pickers in my area I would be interested in a meet up ??????
