Crossover Bluegrass and Old Timey Festival, Congleton.

From Banjowen on 5/14/2017 2:34:07 PM

I've just got back from the brand new Crossover Bluegrass and Oldtimey festival at Congleton and would just like to congratulate the organisers for a great weekend, the Clonter theatre was a great place to hold the concerts, and the late night picking was a pleasure to meet some great musicians, did anyone else attend.

Sounds like a good festival. Glad you enjoyed it Banjowen. Unfortunately there is a limit to the number of dogs allowed, so that ruled it out for me.

You missed a great weekend Derek, but I can understand there being a limit on the number of dogs as there seemed to be quite a few there,....remember to book early for next year,.......I don't know how true it is but there was talk of a Conway festival sometime in July.

Owen, are you thinking about the one at the SportsmansArms Inn in Denbigh?
They are calling it Rocky Top 2017 and to run 28th to 30th July

Andy, I wouldn't know if that's what they meant but they did say Conway?

Would loved to have gone to this Owen, but we are going to the Chester folk festival next weekend, just a bit to close together :(

Eddie, it was a great weekend with decent facilities, you'd have enjoyed it.....but having attended the Chester folk festival a few times you're equally going to have a great weekend.

Eddie, glad you enjoyed it because I always had a good time at Chester folk festival except the last one I went to when my father in law died and I was called home, you get some great musicians at folk festivals and you're usually made very welcome to join in with other musicians playing all kinds of stuff, and people shouldn't forget that a lot of bluegrass/country music came from folk music,...anyways i'm glad you enjoyed it Eddie.
