Alfiedogs cherokee shuffle tab

From conic on 10/2/2017 1:49:37 PM

Eddie, i liked your video of Cherokee shuffle so much i have now learnt to play it and even tabbed it just the way you played it.

its in the tab archive a two jpeg's  for part A and Part B.

I did it in microsoft Excel because i know how to use it and is quicker then TablEdit for me

some of the measures on my tab  look a bit odd as I could not fit all the notes in  correctly but it does work for me and fits your video just right.

it would be good on this refurbished site if i could add a link here for the video and the tab

Tabbing out pieces is one of the ways that worked wonders for me in understanding how others were playing their music, so I strongly feel like applauding you for your work!
About how to get the stuff on here, I always make .jpegs from my tabs, then putting them in the ‘Photos‘ section of my BHO account. From there it's just a matter of linking. Converting Excel files to jpeg, I haven't tried this – as I'm writing all my tabs in MS Paint- but last resort would be making a screendump of your computer "printscreen" and saving this as a jpeg.
By the way -different subject- after having had to skip a year, we (Elly and me) are making plans to visit the UK again in 2018, tentatively mid July. In order to make this really happen, we need gigs to keep our balance near zero. So anyone having proposals, please PM me... Some of you have seen Heartstrings before and know the setting that would work for us.
Cherokee Shuffle, now that rings a bell... ;-) I never tabbed my own version, but maybe I should. For workshops I made a presentation of the two earliest breaks on 'Molly and Tenbrooks' by Earl and Ralph. Tabbing both note for note it's great to see the different approach of both founding fathers of our beloved style...

Bruno, tabbing out a song really makes you focus on every note and hear what is happening, makes it easier when your tabbing a good picker like Eddie.

On Excel, once its finished I highlight the cells i want as the tab , right click to copy then open ms paint and past it onto the main screen no other setup needed. then save to my drive as a jpeg. I can send you the template i made if you want it

As for your band visiting the UK again, I can vouch for it as the best performance I have seen and will definitely come again, can you add your tour to britishbluegrass.co.uk

good luck
