From tav rees on 5/29/2019 8:20:59 AM

Just bought a andy banjo clipper 2 i haven't played for a while but ive never had this problem. My right arm has an indent in it from the arm rest which is making my arm hurt do i need to adjust it can you?

I use a Nechville comfort arm rest on all my banjos, expesive but worth the money as they are beveled so don't have that sharp edge. You can get them from Eagle music or banjoteacher.com. They look good as well.

II looked up that Grafton on the web site and I don't see anything suspicious.
Looks like a normal armrest to me (as been used from the 1920-ies by Gibson)
I had Mastertone clones and a non-Mastertone Gibson since 1976 but never experienced any trouble with an armrest.
I prefer to put it as high as possible to position my hand in the ideal picking position, but that's all there is, to me.

Just out of curiosity: What makes you prefer the Grafton over the Flinthill that is one position higher on the web site?

I had a go of my friends grafton clipper open back and was happy with the weight and sound but i try and plsy bluegrass so waited until i saw a second hand one come on ebay with a resonator. One poped up for £180 and it was a clipper so i had to have it at that price it sounds great got to get into it again now.
