In my 40+ years of playing and listening to bluegrass, I've heard some great bands. For me, one of the very best were the original 'Country Gazette'. The first time I heard 'Traitor In Our Midst' was unforgettable! For those who share my enthusiasm, here's a link to an excellent history of the band.

	ian tofte says: 4/9/2015 8:45:35 AM I have always been a fan of the Country Gazette and Alan Munde. I play all the Tunes Molly Bloom Dusty millar even Hot Burrito Breakdown, sadley not as good as Alan but we live in hope. It's about time he was over here again.
	HSmith says: 4/11/2015 12:08:58 AM Yes, Alan's one of the greats. However, he was just a (huge) part of something wonderful in Country Gazette. Superb fiddle from Byron Berline, fantastic slap bass from Roger Bush, great lead vocals from Kenny Wirtz, and of course Alan's astounding banjo, and yet somehow the total is so much more than the sum of the parts!

	5stringJim says: 5/4/2015 1:00:29 AM Big influence on me, the repackaged "Live at McCabe's" was one of the very few Bluegrass albums freely on sale in our shops. Those versions of Black Mntn Rag and Sally Goodin were superb, but so were the rest of the tracks. Then the acoustic side of the Burrito's appeared on an album, and later in life I found all the earlier albums. Amazing picking !!
