sounds pretty good to me, certainly like to be there but probably have a couple of years to go yet.

I like the back up work. Very smooth between the X and Y.

Thanks Harvey, I have been working on that quite a bit recently....

very good pickin, I am impressed. this is supposed to be an easy song, the chords are very easy but the pickin pattern and some nice licks takes a lot of practice so well done

Thanks alot Conic. Nice to know there are other Banjo players in the Black Country (I had a look at your profile) Do you know of any Jams in Black Country?

I don't want to hijack your post but in reply....as a matter of fact, last night I have set one up to start 25th June and then going forward will be the last Thursday of each month at the barge & Barrel ( AKA Ace of spades blues bar (thebargeandbarreltipton.weebly.com/)) in Tipton, a stones throw away from the famous mad O'Rourkes pie factory pub. check out the website with facebook link. This is a music orientated pub and is very friendly. there is an open mike night every month which has a great atmosphere. I have spoken to the gaffer who is a rock and blues guitar player who also likes country & bluegrass and he has given us free use of a decent size room for a monthly acoustic jam. I will be the only banjo picker there so far and want to bring some bluegrass to Tipton. we had a bit of a taster last night and I was surprised everybody knew and played along to wagon wheel which went on for ages and are looking forward to me bringing my banjo on 25th June. we can shape this to how we want it and I want to start it real simple so all pickers are welcome and can join in at any level
