I have set up an acoustic jam to start 25th June (20:00 to 20:30 and then going forward will be the last Thursday of each month at the barge & Barrel ( AKA Ace of spades blues bar)(thebargeandbarreltipton.weebly.com/)) in Tipton, a stones throw away from the famous mad O'Rourkes pie factory pub. check out the website with facebook link.
This is a music orientated pub and is very friendly and there is also a great open mike night every month which has a great atmosphere.
We currently have interest from 3 banjo pickers, 1 mandolin, 4 guitars and a singer who also plays mouth organ and the landlord said he is going out to buy an acoustic guitar this week and join us.
The guitar players know only a bit of bluegrass so with some support I am hoping to get them hooked and bring some regular bluegrass to Tipton We have the opportunity to shape this to how we want it and I was thinking of starting it real simple and slow so all levels of experience are welcome to come along and join us and have some fun.
