Hi all,

Thank you for allowing me to join this group. I noticed a lot of posts about Roger Dinsdale and the track Swamp Thing on these forums and wanted to share this with your community.

Roger Dinsdale was my father and he passed away in 2009 so I created a theatre show to celebrate his life.

BANJO MAN is on at Etcetera Theatre, Camden (London, UK) from 22-24 January at 7:00pm

If you're free this weekend it would be so amazing to see some banjo players and fans of the track there! :)

About the Show:

Quina’s father played the banjo on a 1990s chart-hit. He passed away unexpectedly in 2009. This is her tribute to him.

Banjo Man is a collection of stories and memories about the late Roger Dinsdale, a musician who, in 1993, had a one-hit-wonder playing the banjo on a popular dance track. Join Quina as she shares memories of her father and recounts tales she has collected from family and friends about his unexpected world tour.

A moving show about dealing with loss and celebrating life, Banjo Man combines storytelling, poetry and original live music.

	conic says: 1/20/2016 1:41:16 PM wow, I remember this great song, Its a shame as I will be in Camden Saturday and always stop at the oxford arms downstairs from Etcetera Theatre for a pint and football match unfortunately I got a gig in town on the night and head back north Sunday morning but good luck. Great banjo sound and unusual with a dance track but very effective, was Roger a finger picker or did he just use the plectrum, just trying to figure out the tuning he is using...
	birdmanUK says: 1/20/2016 2:15:54 PM I loved this track and remember dancing to it (after a fashion!) in Moles club in Bath. Unfortunately I can't be in Camden to see the show but would have loved to have seen it. Best wishes and hope it goes very well.
