Hello UK 5 ,I'm Shaun AKA Bristol Blue .

Been playing guitar for 30 years for fun at home and got my first banjo 2 months ago. Progress is slow but fun !

I'm not up to the journey to Stalybridge on the 27th but I hope the rest of you who can make it have fun !

If anyone knows of any Banjoccentric happenings in the Bristol area , please let me know ....

One's from Cheadle , the other from Manchester who has a season ticket for Man City and has lived in Bristol for 30 years. When he gets drunk his accent gets more Manc as he declares "I'm F00kin' Bristolian me!"
	Banjo Island says: 2/5/2016 11:42:20 PM Hi. Specifically banjo-centric, or more general musical? There's been a beginners bluegrass session running in or around Warmley for years and years. I think that's still going - or at least haven't hears that is isn't. I think there are old-timey sessions around and about, although to don't know specifics as that's not be bag. Bristol Bluegrass Fest is coming up next. Month. The bluegrass class is with John Breese, who is one of my favourite players anywhere. Gig-wise, there's actually plenty of bluegrassy/old-timey/banjo eye music about, but being the above mentioned, it can take a bit of finding! Bath's worth looking at too, if it's reachable for you - usually plenty going on there. Jer
