It's been years since I posted anything on the hangout. I used to be on here quite a bit but then drifted away.
Besides my home built banjos I have an Iida 233. The fellow I got it from said he thought it was a 235 but I'm pretty sure it's a 233. It has the RB250 leaves and bows inlays.
I just bought an Iida 240. Lusted after one for some time now and finally pulled the trigger on one.
My first banjo with a tone ring was a 1981 Washburn B23 Mystic DL. I ordered it new at the local music store and paid $640 for it. There is one on ebay now for 750. The list price in 1981 was $1,195.00 but the owner of the music store was a friend.
I bought a really nice Fender Leo at a pawn shop in Georgia for $250 around 1991. Wish I had have hung on to that one.
I picked up an Aria Pro II a few years ago but I let my sister in law talk me out of it. Wish I hadn't done that.
I'm looking forward to spending some quality time with the 240.
