Let's all get acquainted with fellow banjo pickers in the state. I think we can have a lot of fun with this group and really help one another out.

I live in Buckingham county outside the little rivertown of Scottsville. I have played banjo with the Willow Branch bluegrass band for 28 years. We are very active and play mostly in the mid-Atlantic states. I do not know of any local jams in this area and would love to see one get started. I am willing to travel an hour or so outside of this area to a jam session if I can find one.

	John42 says: 1/29/2011 9:24:25 AM I'm from near Schuyler. Two jams are near. One in Stuarts Draft @ 7pm every Tuesday. A real Bluegrass jam with good talent. The other is between C'ville and Zion X=roads on rt 250 @ Beaver Dam Church, 1st monday of the month. This one is a hit or miss jam, also at 7pm. Contact me and I can give you more info or even get together to go across the mountain. I usually try to make the Stuarts Draft jam every week, depending on the fog on Afton Mtn.

Although I play with a band it's definitely fun to just pick too. Before I saw this group I made a VA group but have since changed it to "southern" VA pickers if anyone is interested.

	bnjojo62 says: 1/29/2011 2:39:52 PM I live in Dickenson co. in S.W. Virginia. In Clintwood Va. at the jettie baker center on friday nights from 7:00 to 10:00, there is a real good jam. The facility is excellent and theres sound set up. Come on

I'm playing with a Gospel/Bluegrass group called Valleygrass for about 2 years now and we i cd to our credit.

I feel like I will be able to jam with others this year. I also just got tickets to see Earl at Charlottesville this Friday...cant wait !!
