After moving cross country, I landed in an area of high relative humidity. The result is that the heads on both of my Glenn banjos have slackened to the point they are unplayable. Any suggestions on rfixing the problem, without damage?

	boondocker53 says: 3/18/2012 9:23:39 AM Two things I can think of, without taking the back off and retensioning the head. One, try a taller bridge. Two, gently and evenly heat the head with a hair dryer until it shrinks back to a playable level. Don't hold the dryer on a single area, move it around and take it slow. I've also seen where someone put a couple of large incandescent Christmas lights inside the back to warm up the head, thus shrinking it.
	Strumelia says: 4/9/2012 8:10:53 PM I'm getting several higher/alternate bridges to have on hand for my two gourd banjos and my mountain banjo- specifically for those times when humidity causes the heads to sag.
