Some of you may remember my crowing last year about making a banjer out of pine; or you may have seen threads where people asked whether it was possible or not. Well, not to rain on anybody's parade, but there are some considerations I hadn't uh, um, thought about. You can see and read the details on my blog page but the bottom line, takeaway, upshot, conclusion, object lesson is: strengthen the parts that need to be strong. Like the neck joint.
