I Bought this banjo about a year and a half ago. It's a unplated no hole tone ring. Warren told me the rim came from a tree off of Ron Stewart's property. Anyway Great banjo, has that dry growl. It sounds more pre- war that my 36' pre- war! It plays like butter!!! Thanks Warren
