Just thought I'd jump back on here and say, through some form of disorientation, I went on a "banjo binge" and started buying and selling banjos like someone in need of intervention. I've gone full circle from some of the most popular names in banjos (including prewars) and ended up with a Yates RS33. I've had three Yates. THIS ONE is staying here. Warren is so personable and easy to contact. His banjos are built solid and sound the way I like. Head tightened to 90 on the drum dial, new strings, and I put a set of Keith tuners for 4 & 1 and Keith D-Tuners for 3 & 4. I'm not saying that I won't ever buy another banjo. But I will confidently say that I'm a Yates man. And again, this one ain't goin' nowhere but with me! I'm convinced. Yates is the way to go.
