Just got a 2019 RB75 and must say it is everything that you might expect and a bit more. I know Warren's banjos have enjoyed a great reputation for awhile now but I have one now and think it is GREAT. I have had everything from conversion prewar, huber, newer gibsons, parts,ect. For the first time in many years I don't even want to look at others for sale. Not only does it sound great, but I love the feel in my hand. You guys are lucky to have found these treasures long before me. I am hooked.

I currently own the very first Yates Shelby and I just love it. The inlay is not like any other Yates Shelby and it's fine playing banjo. I also used to own Ron Stewart's personal Yates banjo. I've had the RS33 and another Yates Shelby. I loved my RS33. Anyway, welcome to world of Yates owners. Usually very happy people! Glad you jumped in! Congrats on your 75. (I want one, too!)

I was just about to buy a 29 converted style 4 when I noticed the Yates in a case at Banjowarehouse. I live just northeast of Atlanta so I do visit Jeff from time to time. Tried the Yates (while surrounded by a bit of everything in one place. The search was over. I love both the sound and feel. As much as I like the sound, I have been most impressed with the feel. It feels old. I have a friend that has a couple of original prewar five strings that I get to play every now and then. Blind folded I don't believe you could really tell which was which. Because of BAS I am now envious of you having more than one Yates. Possibly a maple in the future.
