Hello all,
Ron Stewart mahogany model owner here. Is there any particular setup on this banjo that gives you more of the "rattling - loose ball bearings in a pie tin" type sound that I hear on the sound samples on Warren's site: www.yatesbanjos.com/
I love that "loose" kind of tone. It almost sounds like every note is a combination of notes.
I am also having trouble getting used to the narrow neck down at the peghead end. I keep muting the first string with the palm of my left hand as it rests against the edge of the neck. I wish this neck was about 1/8" wider. I've just got to keep working on my technique.
Thanks.
