Hello all. Could one of you Skillet Head owners please let me know if the Skillet Head tailpiece actually rests on the tension hoop or does it "clear" it like the Presto style on Warren's other models. Thanks!

It is interesting that I have read numerous comments that the presto tailpiece should not touch the tension hoop for "best sound" but the Skillet Head tailpiece actually rests on the hoop by design.
	kaybone says: 8/5/2015 2:01:55 PM Well not entirely . .Warren's Clamshell Tailpiece is kind of a unique thing. The mounting sides of tailpiece do sit on the tension hoop, however, the "Presto Flap" ( if you will -that part with the strings attached, are away from the tension hoop by quite a bit )
