I'm 53 years old, & have served 22 years in HM Forces Now working in the Health Care profession. I have always loved the Banjo & have 33RPM records of various Banjo bands from when I was a child! But has taken me a long time to actually get around to buying a good Banjo & learning to play myself! I learn every thing by ear as I can not read music, although since school years through to the present , I have tried teaching myself to read music, but it just isnt happening !! So U Tube is my best medium for learning new tunes at home !! I enjoy Bluegrass festivals & picking sessions, & learning new stuff to play !!
