Started playing guitar when I was 12, but didn't get serious until 14. Took to strings pretty quick. I had gone from guitar to bass, my third instrument was 5 string banjo, but I never have been that good a finger picking guy on one. Learned mandolin, and a bit of fiddle. Played solo and with bands, keeping a band that did originals afloat for 11 years. I've done a lot of recording over the years and currently have a set up that's sort of a 20s through the 60s set up. I have some seriously dated recording values. I actually hadn't played banjo in years. The guy just up the street plays classical and jazz piano. Real nice guy. I was joking with with my dad that I should get a banjo and to the Bugs Bunny thing where he bothers the opera singer by playing banjo. A week later a six string appeared at my door. Its cheap, but as with most of the things I get I do modifications and set ups. With a new set of strings, compensated bridge it sounds good. Looking at Remo Fyberskin head as I like a mote old time mellow sound. Other than that just some strange middle aged guy living innthe woods making weird music abd feeding deer abd chipmunks. If anyone needs anything or wants to say hello, I am at your service. See ya.
