Been playing so long I should be a whole lot better than I am. Started playing tenor banjo with Dixieland group in Milwaukee. Still play with Montana Dixieland group. Took up 5-string in mid sixties. Played with various groups in Milwaukee, Denver and Montana--old-timey and sorta-bluegrass. Currently playing at Irish pub weekly with fiddler. Spent too much time as a ne'er-do-well, political curmudgeon, poetaster, freelance loafer and English prof. Still have all my teeth. Hate beets. Refuse to sing songs about froggies and duckies.
