Banging my head against a wall!
I'm trying to sell an airgun on a couple of airgun boards, they're all tangled up, ones called the yellow board because the background is yellow. Supposed to be a good place to sell. So I registered and clicked on their classifieds, which sent me to some OTHER site that's red/white/blue .... I entered the ad, I guess it's on there somewhere. I wanted to look at it so back to the yellow boards, where I wanted to list, but can't since the Internet froze up.
I'm just trying to sell a few things so I'll have more than $11 to my name, and depending on the Internet is just proving to be idiotic.
It'd be a fairly nice day to go out busking today actually, the sun's out. My skills aren't there yet though. I should go out and make a sign and hold it by the freeway onramp, or see if I can collect some cans, but I have a lot to do around here too. Like dig a few wheelbarrows worth of dirt from this one mound that doesn't need it, and fill in some holes that fill with water and get gross because the geese hang around here and make 'em worse. There are all kinds of trees to cut and other stuff here to do, actually always a work-list a yard long.
The difficulty of commerce now, the fact that Craig's List has become unusable, that Ebay is down 90% from what they were, that PayPal is a very good way for a seller of anything to get cleaned out, means that it makes sense to just not buy things. At all. I have some stuff around here that I bought with the thought in mind of selling it. Namely, a set of motorcycle leathers, and a cool old Hermes 3000 typewriter, each item worth a few hundred bucks even in today's market, but if I can't sell them, they'll just have to sit. I did not buy my Sheridan air rifle to sell it, but I have another air rifle and a Red Ryder so .... the Sheridan can go. But at this rate I'll just hang onto that forever too. And so I'm doing my part to make the economy slow as frozen molasses.
