I am the fortunate owner of a C E Paragon Tenor banjo.
When I acquired it many years ago, I took it to Barry Dew who took the back off and saw that it bore the serial number 2!
I used to be in an amateur jazz band but haven't played it for years. I'm amusing myself now by having a strum an familiarising myself with the chords I used to know well.
I don't want to be parted from it but feel guilty that it should be played by an expert to an audience who would appreciate it!
Perhaps a swap with a less prestigious instrument might satisfy my longing and my guilt feelings!
