Hello,
Like many previous posts I have inherited my grandfather's banjo and am seeking help on selling it. Being the only one in the family who had played instruments there was a thought that I would someday take on the banjo but, to be honest, I have no musical ear and decided it is best for it to go to someone who does and instead I will keep my grandfather's talent for woodworking alive instead.
From what I have gathered I have a B&D Silver Bell No.1 Plectrum Banjo: 22 frets/24 brackets with a "lean" activated mute lever, Serial # 11448
I would appreciate any help on what I have exactly, value and where/how I should sell it. I am working on attaching photos.
