My Grandpa, Thomas Wells of North Middleton, KY gave me this banjo 58 years ago.He was a accomplished fiddle player also.
I'm sure it is many years older than 60 years old. 30 years ago all the pieces were there and I got it playing fairly well. Over the years some of the hardware, bridge and tailpiece have dissappeared.
Would anyone know who made it? It has a diamond by the tuners and that's all.
Also, where would be the best place to send it to be repaired.
Any information would be helpful.
Thanks
Dave Newell
