I have played guitar, all styles, for .... well, for a long, long time. In early June of 2017 I developed an overwhemling desire to learn the banjo (something about that tone and the flurry of notes). I don't know any players, BUT I do know two owners. I asked one of them and he seemed only to happy to let me borrow his banjo (THANKS Frank!). That was June 19 and I have been learning and practicing ever since (unfortunately, my wife is not crazy about the sound!). Once I got used to the fingerpicks and the placement of that g-string . . . Things are really starting to move forward.
