I have today off and will be going to a dulcimer jam tonight. I stay pretty active with my music even though I am a newbie. Just started playing the banjo a month ago and I am really suprising myself. It's unbelievable! I have been playing in some jams with some pretty cool people. One lady in my dulcimer club just started playing the fiddle a couple of years ago and she is in her 80's. I was so impressed with that! , and she is really good too. I can't believe how much music can bring you joy and peace. I sure wished that I started this alot earlier in life. But I guess God knows that I probably didn't need it until now.

Greetings! just recently jumped back into the Hangout after a brief hiatus. I am a bass player who has been playing for a couple of years now. But my interest in banjo has surely been rekindle. I have picked up my banjo and started playing again.
I have met alot of cool people along the way, and many more since I have taken on the job being secretary of Ohio Kentucky Indiana Bluegrass Association. I will be looking forward to meeting many more you in the future.
