Just starting out and was surprised at how loud the banjo is, I bought a Deering Classic Goodtime Special. First impression is the instrument is well made, heavy and loud. Bought a Mike's banjo mute to make my practicing easier on everyone and found it easy to put on and mutes the banjo incredible well without any buzz or distortion. I'm in Australia and the mute arrived in just over a week, good service. The only comment I'd make is that Mike could include a description of where you install the mute for dummies like me, I started by fitting it on the peghead end of the bridge not the talipiece end, otherwise all good would recommend to anyone who wants to quieten their banjo
