There's nothing better than shopping around for a banjo and finding a great deal! - Except of course, for when you finally get your banjo, and it arrives in pristine condition. I got a great deal with Capo's Music and happy to report that I am the proud owner of a new RK36. After learning for 2 years on a lesser known $400 maple model I was starting to grow a bit disappointed in the craftsmanship after learning the instrument and understanding what is out there. So I decided to step up my game to an RK36 mahogany based on the testimonials and reviews I have seen online. I am really happy with the sound this thing puts out.Its got a great look with a nice lacquer finish and nice grain pattern on the resonator. it has low action, decent intonation, and its loud as hell. I think I'll be using my Mike's Banjo mute a lot on this in the house. I know it's no pre-war Gibson - But it seems to suit my level of play just right and my inspiration for playing is at an all time high right now.
