Pick Rotating due to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Wednesday, January 6, 2021

Hi Folks,

From time to time I have trouble with 'carpal tunnel syndrome' in my  wrist causing my index, middle finger & thumb on my right handto go numb therefore I can't feel the pick very well. Therefore it rotates causing me to miss the strings. I play Tenor CGDA.

I was thinking of sticking something on the pick to stop slippage or even using a thumb pick as used on the 5 string.

Does anyone else have things problem? Any suggestions?

The carpal tunnel problem is only intermittant but may be looking at surgery down the track.

 Thanks Steve
