I spent 22 years traveling the world digging up fossils for Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, retired and now teach school. I have wanted to play the banjo since I was a kid, it took me 35 years to muster up the courage to buy one and start to learn. I spent several years in the Smokey Mtns. as a boy in the early 60's, it made a strong impression on me.
