Hi everyone,
I'm Tom and I live in Inverness. I am a raw beginner with a tuned banjo and not much else but the desire to play like Earl Scruggs! Of course!
I don't know a lot about Bluegrass...almost nothing but I know I like what I have heard and I really want to make this sound myself. I'm looking for any advice, contacts, lessons and support I can get in the area.
I build and play 3 string cigar box guitars and play harmonica in Delta Blues-ish style...all by ear. I have no musical training or book learnin' at all but I'm keen.
Please drop a 49 year old, overweight, ex pat American, wanna-be picker a line if you think you can help me to move closer to marriage counseling via the banjo!
