I added a Moon bridge to my banjo. I got the heavy weight 5/8 bridge, and boy is there a difference. It's too bad I got used to it so quickly, because it really changes the sound of the banjo for the better. I ordered mine from Zepp's country Music store, 'cause that's where I first spotted them.
My Hohner banjo is a pretty nice little instrument already with the brass tone ring and nice heavy duty parts, but now it's even better.

I started playing clawhammer style banjo in May of 2006. I took lessons from Fritz Schuler in the fall/winter of 2006. Other than that, I've been using Wayne Erbson's Ignoramus book and Ken Perlman's DVD. I enjoy playing and practice every single day....Or.... If you prefer.....I'm a rip-snortin', clawhammer playin', motorcycle ridin', airplane flyin', father of two, grandfather to two, husband of one dulcimer playin', sweet lookin, woman o' mine.
