My Instruments:
Home made Mahogany, Home made Walnut, home made Maple, 2 home made Curly Maple, home made Birds-Eye Maple, a short neck Curly Maple and a short neck mahogany with skin head and nylon gut strings - all are open backs. I keep them in G, A, Double C and Sawmill tunings so I can grab the one I want to play that tune in. I Also have Gibson RB 250, an Aria and one I put together from parts of 2 or 3 old banjos.
Favorite Bands/Musicians:
Philip Stienmetz, Ralph Stanley, Airtight Old time String Band, Stringbean, Grandpa Jones, Uncle Dave Macon and others.

Retired Navy, Artist, Wood Carver/Worker. Beginning Clawhammer after playing 3 finger many years ago. My index and middle finger were damaged during Surgery recovery a few years back and don't work as well as they use to. Thought Clawhammer would be just the thing to help pick up the banjo again. On 12 March 2010 the Navy named the new Mine Warfare Training Center in San Diego, CA in my honor!!
