I am learning about chord progressions and i have memorized the first, second, and third inversion triad progressions for the key of G. Is it wrong to mix the three different triads together to form a chord progression?

Ive recently just started playing the banjo and fell in love with it. I have no musical background but i seem to be a quick learner. I would appreciate any help from experienced players
