After 20 years of being a mediocre guitarist i bought a banjo at the start of 2009 with the intention of becoming a bluegrass hero. Didn't do much with it for 12 months, then discovered most of the music I really liked was old time and celtic tunes. So I switched to clawhammer style about March 2010 and haven't looked back, I'm hooked.
