Hi, so My husband plays banjo and has a crappy one that one of his friends gave him....its got a broken 5th string. i know he would love a new one and i am overwhelmed by all of the banjos out there. I know Deering is one of the best. I am not paying the money for that because guitar is what he plays most and he is playing with friends or by himself, not professionally.
I think the Goodtime line from deering is nice but again they or either beginner or as they get nicer too expensive....i see the washburn b-16 looks nice and has some good reviews, there is also the fender concert tone b54 which looks nice, are recording kings good? He plays bluegrass style and is more than beginner....i guess intermediate but if there is a beginner one that crosses over into intermediate, ill go with that. this is a christmas gift and a surprise for him...thanks for any advice!
