Started with piano as soon as I could reach the keys, then played electric piano in various garage rock bands in high school. Got my first guitar in junior high, and my first banjo when I was 19. Played banjo with bluegrass bands "Morning Sky" in Charlotte, NC (1982-86) and "Heartwood" in upstate NY (1992-96). Currently enjoying jamming with friends and dabbling with electronic music synthesis (I know "that's not bluegrass").
