Born in Nova Scotia,began strumming on a $4.00 guitar at age 12 and later learned a little mandolin. Used to play for dances and special events. In 92 began to plunk on the banjo. It is my instrument of choice, though it remains a challenge. I play the guitar and sing old favorites at a nursing home regularly.
