Started on guitar many, many years ago, mandolin many years ago, banjo a few years ago, and picked up some dobro and fiddle in between. Have played in bluegrass and old-timey bands in New England and South Carolina for 50+ years. Himalayan Mountain Boys, Dance Hall Rock String Band, Sgt. Fury and the Bluegrass Commandos, Sakonnet River String Band, South County Rounders, Spider Bridge, Carolina Crossroads, Good Company, and the Fiddling Fluds, among others. Own Recording King banjo RK-85A Serial number 1, and honey-colored Gibson Earl Scruggs Standard S/N 0991 (1986/7?).
