I love pickin the banjo usually just sit and pick what sounds good to me- yes I know parts and pieces of alot of things but I enjoy just making it up as I go. I know chord positions up and down the frett board and Basic !, 4,5 progressions. When I sit down and try to learn by ear or watch a lesson I can get fairly close to what they are doing but it quickly turns into my interpertation of what they are doing. When I play with other people we usually just pick out a chord progression and go with what souds good to us. Does anyone else have this issue or am I just ADD and too impatient. I/we play for hours and have fun but I was wondering if others have done this through their background of playing and where they are now musically.
